CAN I TAKE PART IN RESEARCH?

We are always recruiting stroke survivors to take part in our research. If you are interested in taking part please get in touch with us using the contact information found below. All research is based at our research facilities located at Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Leeds, Leeds LS2 9JT

AM I ELIGIBLE TO TAKE PART IN THE STUDY?

Once you have shown interest in the study, you will be contacted by a member of the team that will go through a set of questions with you over the phone or via email to make sure you are eligible to take part.

WHAT HAPPENS ON MY FIRST VISIT?

You will be invited to our research facilities located at Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Leeds, Leeds LS2 9JT to carry out the final screening tests confirm your eligibility for the study. This will involve:

  • A series of questions regarding your clinical history

  • Questionnaires relating to your mood and fatigue levels

  • Screening tests to examine your motor and cognitive function.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

If you meet all the criteria, you will then take part in the research study or be invited back another time depending on your time availability

WILL MY TRAVEL EXPENSES BE REIMBURSED?

Yes, we will reimburse travel expenses to and from the University of Leeds for yourself and one more person every time you come to take part in the study.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY RESULTS?

All the data collected as part of the study will be analysed anonymously and will be used to advance the field of fatigue and published in a scientific journal. Once published, findings will be shared with all the participants
